Free CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics

Stanford's SU2 CFD Stanford University's SU2 CFD suite is an open-source collection of C++ based software tools for performing Partial Differential Equation (PDE) analysis and solving PDE-constrained optimization problems. The toolset is designed with computational fluid dynamics and aerodynamic shape optimization in mind.
Sailfish CFD Sailfish is a free CFD solver based on the Lattice Boltzmann method and optimized for modern multi-core systems, especially GPUs (Graphics Processing Units).
Palabox CFD, complex physics Palabos is an open-source CFD solver based on the Lattice Boltzmann method. The lattice Boltzmann method is a modern approach in Computational Fluid Dynamics. It is often used to solve the incompressible, time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations numerically.
Elmer Elmer includes physical models of fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, electromagnetics, heat transfer and acoustics, for example. These are described by partial differential equations which Elmer solves by the Finite Element Method (FEM).
OpenFOAM OpenFOAM is a free, open source CFD software package developed by OpenCFD Ltd at ESI Group and distributed by the OpenFOAM Foundation.
DUNS - Diagonalized Upwind Navier Stokes Code The DUNS CFD code was developed at the Propulsion Engineering Research Center at Penn State University. It offers structured, multi-block grids; gas-phase multi-species and reacting flows; turbulent flows with q-omega turbulence model; unsteady flows using dual time-stepping procedure; supersonic, subsonic, low Mach-number compressible flows; incompressible flows, however, this is not well tested and may not behave well.
GERRIS Flow Solver Gerris CFD solves partial differential equations describing fluid flow. The source code is available free of charge under the Free Software GPL license.
OpenFlower CFD OpenFlower CFD is a free and open source CFD code (for Linux and Windows) mainly intended to solve the turbulent incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with a LES approach. It can deal with arbitrary complex 3D geometries with its finite volume approach.
Dolfyn CFD The goal of Dolfyn CFD is to promote, introduce and teach the use of modern numerical simulation techniques in general and the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in particular.
ISAAC-CFD A CFD-Solver programmed to solve turbulence models with compressible flows. The link points to the Fortran source code that you need compile on a Unix system.
